Life in a photographers world…

Lauren & Matthew June 26, 2009

June 26 Lauren and Matthew’s wedding day started hot and got hotter.  I love outdoor ceremonies, the white dress against the greenery is dramatic, the natural sunlight and the freedom to move around makes outdoor ceremonies one of my favorite types to photograph.  There is one exception 95+ days with humidity 95+.  Those who know me know I love the heat, hot weather rarely bothers me but this was one of those days that no amount of water was going to keep the couple and their guests cool (not to mention their photographer).  The bride decided after arriving at Foxchase Manor to hold the ceremony indoors.  I applauded this decision and let her know that I would like to do some of the formal photographs outside after the ceremony.  It would be later in the day and I can work quickly and still get great images.

Lauren had chosen hot pink and orange as her color scheme.  I was a little frightened as I saw the two linen colors emerging from the caters bag but once they were on the table the effect was stunning.  Fashionistas that I have know ;)   had always advised against orange and pink going together but these shades were so vibrant with POP  they looked great together.  Kate and I couldn’t stop taking photographs of the tables hoping the colors and intensity would reflect well on “film”.  Let me know if you think the photographs were successful in conveying the drama and beauty of her colors.
